Vicky’s Round Up!

Everyone asks, what do we do in the winter & do we enjoy our six months off! This comment still makes me smile, as we seem to be busier than ever going into Christmas. I promised myself this year that I would take a moment to give you all a quick roundup of our year.

January kicked off with resolving the keel stuck in the down position on Morning Calm III of Sark, The Trintella 65ft that Ruairi skippers for charter in the summer. One of its unique features is that it has a lifting keel! Not an easy problem to fix & after much head scratching and sleepless nights, a system was finally devised to remove the offending hydraulic ram, have it fixed and refitted. After a few nail-biting weeks, all was successful and it was safe to talk to Ruairi & George again.

Throughout Jan & February normal work continued in the yard at pace, with new synthetic decks laid using Deck Fab, custom GRP biminis fitted, new Flexima sprung mattresses measured & ordered, rigs put back up, polishing, technical work and all boats readied for launching.
